Webinar Posting: Straight Talk About Lead Generation

5 Brutal Facts That You May Not Want To Hear…
But Need To Be Said Anyway.

When it comes to home improvement lead generation, things have changed. Drastically. And if you’re still out there using the same tactics and methods from five or ten years ago—like the bank robber who went back for seconds—you’re headed for hard times.

The reason a lot of this is so hard to hear is because it’s so much easier to just do the same thing over and over again. It’s hard to break old habits, ways of thinking, and search out and embrace the new stuff that works better.

There’s a learning curve. A paradigm shift. And on this webinar, I’m going to radically shift your paradigm on a few key lead generation issues. Five of them, to be precise:

  1. Budgeting. Real Budgeting: I’m going to explain to you about budgeting, especially you smaller and newer contractors. But you bigger boys need to pay attention too. The days of getting by on a shoestring budget… they’re gone. It does take money to make money, and I’m going to convince you that you need to find the money, and spend it. I’ll show you the BARE MINIMUM budget you can get away with, and show you EXACTLY where to spend it. If you don’t have enough money to spend on marketing, I’ll show you where to find it. And if you’re unwilling to do that, well… Good luck.
  1. Divide And Conquer: I’m going to have words with all you remodelers who sell multiple products, but try to go cheap and lump them all together in your advertising and lead generation to save money. I’ll prove to you that that’s not a smart move, and that dividing and conquering is the way to go. I’ve got case studies and everything.
  1. Pay-Per-Click Advertising: We need to have a frank discussion about pay-per-click advertising for construction companies and contractors. Only about 10% of contractors I talk to are spending enough money on pay-per-click; the rest say, “It doesn’t work.” Well then explain to me how the worldwide pay-per-click industry is worth over $50 billion worldwide… and growing. The problem isn’t “it,” It’s you! I’m going to show you the three biggest reasons company fails, and why a $60 million window company I know spends almost a MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR ON IT. Trust me, it’s working. You need to make it work for you, too. It’s non-negotiable.
  1. Direct Response Advertising: Let’s have conversation about direct response advertising—and how it’s nearly dead, but not quite. There are little pockets in there that can still be exploited, but it takes more brains than ever to figure it out. Included in that, I’ll tell you how to make direct mail work—and show you something that is a tiny bit more expensive than EDDM, but that works better.
  1. Branding: All huge companies know that their brand is their most important asset… and it should be yours too. Don’t believe me? I’ll show you how to make your company a household name, no matter what your budget is. The key is brains, patience, and having the right plan.

This isn’t rocket science… but you know what else it isn’t—it’s not last year’s plan.

You’ve got to be willing to take your medicine, and learn and grow. Home improvement lead generation will never be easy. Never. But you can make it work. And I’ll show you how on this webinar.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Why knowing your numbers is absolutely essential… and which numbers are the most important.
  • Buying your leads. Simple concept: don’t spend enough money and you will die. Learn how much… and where to get the money if cash flow is tight.
  • Why splitting products into different marketing messages works best for lead generating.
  • How to own pay-per-click. Once you get the knack of it, you will not be able to stay away. It’s like minting money.
  • What types of direct marketing still work for contractor, plumbing, and HVAC marketing… and which are just budget sucks.
  • How to brand your company like a huge company, even if you only have a little budget.
  • Other stern talk that will be unpleasant, but necessary.
